Heritage Cast Iron USA is pleased to announce the introduction of the world’s first modular, ICC code compliant, cast iron railing systems designed and engineered for fall protection for both commercial and residential applications. The Walnut Grove Collection of railings has been carefully designed and engineered to meet the ICC standards for fall protection and, without any additional materials, once installed will pass the 4″ sphere test and load requirements.
Our railings come in 36” and 42” tall designs for balcony installations and can be installed with minimal welding by a range of trades.Using these elegant panels, railings can be quickly and economically installed into existing concrete using common screw type masonry fasteners as described in the drawings and confirmed by your structural engineer.
Like the other railings in our collections, these parts should be installed by professionals on level and smooth concrete surfaces, or onto stone copings which have been properly anchored to support the loads. Consult us or your local railing installer, professional engineer or architect with questions about their suitability for your application. Slight curves can be easily accommodated by these designs without any cutting or welding.
Applications include residential and commercial railings, for private homes as well as amusement parks, hospitality, garden railings and municipal restoration and regeneration projects where high quality and low maintenance and very low, long term cost of ownership are desired. Our cast iron railings are particularly well suited for severe service environments such as ocean waterfront installations.
